About Me

My name is Mia McCloskey and I am 18 years old. I am a senior at Garnet Valley High School. I am involved in my school's choir, drama club, and school board and am also involved in a community theatre called Center Stage Productions.

My family consists of my parents, Chris and Jenine, and my sister Layla. I also have my step-parents Toni and Ryan and my step-siblings Brianna, Emily, and Dominic.

I have been singing for as long as I can remember, as my family was a big help in sparking that interest at such a young age. But I didn't start acting until I entered fifth grade. I tried out for my school's play, and to my surprise, got landed with the lead. Ever since that moment, I knew I had to grow up on a stage.

GVPAA I joined in late 2018 when their fall production of "High School Musical" was announced. I auditioned and landed an ensemble role. I dropped GVPAA for a while because of scheduling purposes but eventually picked it back up two years later just in time for their original production of "Our World Stopped". I've developed a family in this community and I'm very glad to be a part of it.

Center Stage Productions was introduced to me by my middle school choir teacher, Mrs. Amy Rothman. She showed my class a flyer for an "Annie" production only twenty minutes from where we live. A couple of my friends and I went to check it out. After auditions, I was given the role of Pepper. Ever since then I've been participating in their summer shows and helping out with the other productions as much as I can. It's my home away from home.
